Welcome to Cambridge Elementary School!

It is an honor and a privilege to be leading such a dynamic group of students, parents, and educators. I am excited to be able to utilize my passion and experience to continue to foster the warm, caring, and rich learning environment that makes Cambridge Elementary School, "A Special Place for Students".

My teaching and administrative experience includes working in both the general education and special education setting. I have had the pleasure of working with children as young as 3 years old through 20 years of age. I am a proud graduate of Rutgers University, where I earned a Bachelors degree in Communication and an equally proud graduate of Rider University, where I earned my Masters degree in Educational Administration.

As your building's instructional leader, I look forward to working with you as we partner to expand your children's academic, emotional, and social learning experience.

Let's Go Cougars!

I am honored and thrilled to join Cambridge Elementary School as Acting Assistant Principal.  My name is Alyssa Ridente, and I have been an educator for 15 years. I received my Bachelor’s in Elementary Education, Special Education, and Psychology from Wagner College. My love for learning led me to further my education and obtain my Early Childhood Certification and Master’s in Educational Leadership from the College of New Jersey.

Throughout my education career, I have worked as both a special education and general education teacher in classrooms ranging from preschool through third grade. I joined the South Brunswick community in the fall of 2020 and have spent the past few years as a district interventionist and district literacy coach.

I am excited to share my passion for learning while growing alongside this talented community. I envision sustaining transparent communication and supporting Cambridge's students, staff, and families. Following Cambridge’s long-standing history of prioritizing students’ social-emotional development and academic successes, I will continue to foster a collaborative environment where families feel connected, staff feel supported, and students feel seen and empowered to reach their full potential.  I am looking forward to our partnership!

I am delighted to introduce myself as the newly appointed Assistant Principal at Cambridge. My journey in education began many years ago in an early intervention program, where I had the privilege of supporting young learners. Over the years, I have served as a guidance counselor at both Crossroads and South Brunswick High School for four years, and most recently, I held the position of Assistant Principal at Crossroads South for numerous years. Throughout my tenure in the South Brunswick School District, my time in education has been filled with meaningful experiences and relationships, and I am excited to bring my experiences full circle by joining the elementary team here at Cambridge.

As I step into this new role, I am committed to maintaining open lines of communication and being a supportive presence for students, families, and staff. My goal is to uphold Cambridge's long-standing tradition of fostering every student's academic, social, and emotional growth, ensuring that all students feel valued, empowered, and able to thrive while reaching their fullest potential.

Together, I look forward to fostering a nurturing and inspiring school environment that contributes to the continued success of our community!
